Mental Health Safe Project (MH Safe)
MH Safe shares MH Mediate’s free resources for people who want to report stigmatizing or discriminatory content, seek help for everyday discrimination, and more. These include:
- Overcome Everyday Discrimination
Learn a variety of resources that can help you when encountering day-to-day mental illness stigma and discrimination.
- Addendum Campaigns
MH Safe conducts outreach to organizations who are sharing content containing the three inappropriate I’s (invasions of privacy, impediments, and inaccessibilities for people with mental health needs). These are some of the resources from those campaigns.
- Trauma-Informed Response Initiative
TRI resources help organizations learn trauma-informed and bias-resistant approaches to responding to challenging behaviors and managing distress
- Stigma and Conflict Resolution Resource Group
Funded by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Office of Consumer Affairs and the NY State Office of Mental Health’s Statewide Stigma Reduction Efforts as part of their tax checkoff program, MH Mediate’s stigma and conflict resolution. resource group provides a conflict resolution skills library and 15 tools to help anyone seek support, overcome rejection, and pursue accommodations
- Strained Middle
MH Mediate’s Strained Middle resources are designed to help families and others experiencing estrangements, to learn ways to thrive amidst the estrangement rather than have them be escalated and bitter
- Reputation Repair Lab
Reputation Repair Lab resources are designed to help people work through the process of assessing damage to their reputation and working on ways to collect information about that problem, as well as move forward.
